What a great book Now my only regret is that I didn t book enough time in Florida this November to travel the west coast and make a visit to Weeki Wachee Thankfully, the spring and the mermaid shows are still going strong, so I might just get there one of these days after all.

I grew up less than five miles from Weeki Wachee We went there frequently as children, and enjoyed the goofiness. The photos are pure kitsch, as was the theme park itself Everyone should check out the hilarious mermaids of the 80s and 90s.
