In what can only be described as the worst timing in the world, Lucy goes from over the moon happiness with a positive pregnancy stick, to unbelievable shock when her husband asks her for a divorce.Having tried unsuccessfully to carry a baby to term for years, Lucy is sure this will be the baby they have hoped for Althought things have been rough, she never expected Jack to ask her for a divorce and now, of all the times Worse yet, he comes up with a cockamamie plan for them to live together In what can only be described as the worst timing in the world, Lucy goes from over the moon happiness with a positive pregnancy stick, to unbelievable shock when her husband asks her for a divorce.Having tried unsuccessfully to carry a baby to term for years, Lucy is sure this will be the baby they have hoped for Althought things have been rough, she never expected Jack to ask her for a divorce and now, of all the times Worse yet, he comes up with a cockamamie plan for them to live together while leading separate lives, free to date, while they wait for the baby to arrive Adding to Lucy s mental strain is her mother, Anjoli, around whom the entire world revolves Clad in extremely expensive designer clothing, she has no clue most of the time about what is happening around her in the lives of her loved ones The book is a humerous look at a life going in all directi...

I wanted to like this bookthan I did The characters were interesting, the plot was decent, but the execution left something to be desired I felt like there was a great story in this book somewhere, but the author just hadn t gotten it all the way out yet When the premise is that a woman finds out that she s pregnant on the same day that her husband asks her for a divorce, it should be a pretty meaty story But it felt like the author just lightly skimmed the surface of the life of the m I wanted to like this...

This was a great palate cleanser from all the dystopias I ve been into lately It s well written and tackles a variety of issues moms face, with a lovely ending I still have my own thoughts about Jack, but I ll keep those in my pocket.

Really loved reading this book. This year i read twobooks where challenges of new mothers are talked This mom straight away takes the cake The books does not dwell too much on sleepless nights and the rapid pace, sense of humor keeps the story going.
